Gesünder leben mit der Paleo-Diät! Was bedeutet Paleo? Paleo oder Paleo-Diät basiert auf der Steinzeiternährung. Man ernährt sich quasi so, wie es die Menschen vor etwa 20.000 bis 10.000 Jahren taten. Weggelassen wird natürlich die heutige kohlenhydratreduzierte Ernährung, dafür gibt bei der Paleo-Diät unbegrenzte Mengen hochglykämischer Anteile, wie getrocknete Feigen oder Datteln. Diese Diät entspricht in etwa dem Low-Carb-Prinzip.

Bei der Low-Carb-Diät soll die Kohlenhydratzufuhr 100g täglich nicht überschreiten. Dabei wird auf den glykämischen Index großen Wert gelegt. Der Glykämische Index bestimmt, wie kohlenhydrathaltige Lebensmittel auf den Blutzuckerspiegel wirken. Je höher der Wert, umso schneller steigt der Blutzuckerspiegel und desto größer sind auch die Chancen, fettleibig zu werden bzw. zu bleiben.
